18:50
Starting from 19.00 CET, we have two more group derbies coming up including the highlight of the round - the encounter between Switzerland and Hungary in Schaffhausen. It's going to be a tough challenge for the hosts facing the best attacking team of the competition so far. On the other hand, they surely won't lack motivation as these are their first EHF EURO Qualifiers in 15 years (2008) that they've managed to open with two wins in a row.
Speaking of records, a home win for North Macedonia over Portugal would mean that coach Kiril Lazarov and his guys have managed to even their record five-game winning streak in the EHF EURO Qualifiers. It is however easier said than done, especially when facing the second-best offense of the competition led by coach Paulo Pereira.
18:45 HALF TIME
SERBIA - NORWAY 12:14
MONTENEGRO - SLOVENIA 14:14
FINLAND - SLOVAKIA 11:13
ESTONIA - ISRAEL 16:12
In derby clashes of the groups 2 and 7, Norway is leading against Serbia and Montenegro is levelled with Slovenia after the first 30 minutes. Dejan Milosavljev is having a great night between the posts for Serbia so far, while Kristian Bjørnsen and Magnus Abelvik Rød are leading the guests offensively with three goals each.
In Podgorica, Slovenia has after a poor start managed to level the game before the half-time buzzer. Jure Dolenec and Aleks Vlah were leading the comeback, while Nebojsa Simic on the other hand already has seven saves next to his name.
In Finland, Slovakia is two goals ahead at the break, and in Estonia hosts are leading by four.
18:39
Bogdan Radivojevic provides the spark from the bench for Serbia scoring four goals in the second part of the first half, as Serbia managed to narrow the gap to only two goals (11:13).
Slovenia has, meanwhile, managed to close the gap to only one goal in Podgorica, Montenegro (13:12).
18:34
There are no clear goal-scoring opportunities against Dejan Milosavljev in this one. Just wait for the crowd reaction.

18:27
Time-out Serbia in Novi Sad, as Norway quickly widens the gap to four goals (6:10) instantly punishing every mistake Serbian players make on the attacking side of the court through their recognizable quick offensive transition.
18:22
What a start of the game for Dejan Milosavljev who already has five saves and has managed to stop just over 45% of shots heading his way. Nebojsa Simic is doing even better for Montenegro with 50% of saves so far. Serbia and Norway are levelled at 6:6, while Montenegro leads 9:5.
Slovakia leads 8:10 in Finland, Estonia has 11:7 at home against Israel.
18:14
Sander Andreassen Øverjodet responds with two, while Magnus Abelvik Rød adds one as Norway overtakes the lead at 2:3. Dejan Milosavljev shining early between the posts for Serbia with a couple of incredible saves.
In Podgorica, Montenegro leads 6:4. Two goals for Milos Vujovic and Vasilje Kaludjerovic, four saves for Nebojsa Simic so far.
18:07
A quick-fire double for Serbia through Kukic and Marsenic to start the match at home (2:0). Meanwhile, Montenegro leads 4:1 at home against Slovenia.
17:59
The stage is all set in Novi Sad, Serbia.
17:50
Norway will in Serbia look to break their own record of consecutive EHF EURO Qualifiers victories, that dates all the way back to the period between 1995-1997. Serbia is, on the other hand, looking to basically the same thing as they are currently riding a record four-game winning streak in the competition.
In the derby match of the group 7 between Montenegro and Slovenia, we'll see former Croatian national team goalkeeper Vlado Sola in his debut on the Montenegrin bench. However, his job will surely be far from easy facing the second-best defensive team of the EHF EURO Qualifiers so far.
17:42
Coming up we have seven more Men's EHF EURO 2024 Qualifiers round 3 games coming up. Starting from 18.00 CET we'll see derby encounters in group 2 and 7 with Serbia hosting Norway, and Montenegro welcoming Slovenia. At the same time, Estonia will play Israel at home (group 3), and Finland will welcome Slovakia (group 2).
Final three games of the round are coming our way from 19.00 CET with Switzerland welcoming Hungary in the derby match of the group 6, and North Macedonia facing off against Portugal at home in the derby encounter of group 1. At the same time, Ukraine will playAustria.
17:32
As we're saying goodbye to our first clash of the day, let's have a quick look at some of the best photos from Pescara, Italy.

We simply can't afford to miss out on this beauty from Raul's Serafimovics who finds the gap and then remains ice-cold facing the goalkeeper.

It took Latvia nearly seven minutes to score, but they've added three goals in the four minutes since then. Italy lead 5:3 as both sides start to settle into the game.
16:08
With all formalities over, the match is underway and it's going largely Italy's way so far. Experienced back Pablo Marrochi scored first and Latvia's attacks have so far been unsuccessful. Early days yet though.
15:50
Right, settle in for a bumper Thursday of handball - in Pescara, the teams are being introduced to a decent crowd and the game will begin soon. Watch it live on EHFTV (geo-restrictions may apply).
15:30
As well as Italy and Latvia, several other teams have a chance for their first points today - Estonia and Israel in group 3 and Finland and Slovakia in group 2. Others will be hoping to consolidate their place at the top of the table.
Meanwhile, our weekly Twitch show 'The Spin' delved into the EHF EURO 2024 and the EHF EURO Cup on Monday - check it out.
15:00
Both Italy and Latvia have unveiled their squads for today's game. Latvian superstar (and super-tall) Dainis Kristopans is not playing - how critical that will be for the visitors will be seen later. Both teams lost their first two matches so at least one will pick up their first points today.
14:30
The highlight of today's action promises to be the highlight match, which sees group 6 leaders Switzerland and Hungary meet.
And one player who's bound to make an impact on court is Switzerland's Andy Schmid. The veteran is preparing to take on the role of national team coach, but not until June 2024. Before then, he has an aim to lead his side to the EHF EURO as a player. EHF journalist Björn Pazen caught up with Schmid before today's game to find out how he has reached this point, and his hopes and dreams for the side.

This is quite a sensational win for us against today's favourites from Romania. This is yet another step in the right direction for Faroese handball and we will keep adding the layers to a solid competitive team.Peter Bredsdorff-LarsenFaroe Islands coach
22:17
What a night to open round 3 of the qualifiers and the EHF EURO Cup! So much action, keeping track of the results is no easy feat, but we've got you covered below.
21:52 RESULT: CZECH REPUBLIC VS ICELAND 22:17
The first match of the double-header between Czech Republic and Iceland sees the home side come out on top after a superb performance. Czech Republic now count the maximum six points in their account, following three straight wins in the qualifiers, while Iceland stay on four points.
21:51 RESULT: KOSOVO VS BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA 22:25
It's a first victory of the EHF EURO 2024 Qualifiers for Bosnia and Herzegovina, as they defeat Kosovo at home. The visitors therefore move up to third place in group 7, behind Slovenia and Montenegro, who play their round 3 match on Thursday.
21:50 RESULT: BELGIUM VS GREECE 24:26
Greece hold Belgium off to secure the two points away and move up to four points on the group 5 table, alongside the Netherlands and Croatia.
21:38 RESULT: FAROE ISLANDS VS ROMANIA 28:26
First points of the EHF EURO 2024 Qualifiers for Faroe Islands, and first victory ever against Romania. Romania won all five previous encounters with an average margin of 14 goals in their favour, making it a very special result for Faroe Islands as they heat up the race in group 4.
RESULT: The Faroe Islands 🇫🇴 earn their first win in the #ehfeuro2024qualifiers! They beat Romania 🇷🇴 28:26 and just listen to the roar of the crowd in Torshavn! 🤩💥#ehfeuro2024 #heretoplay pic.twitter.com/866vAtxl9A

21:24
We also have a tight battle unfolding in Belgium, where the home side are behind Greece by just one goal, 18:19, nearing the final 15 minutes of the game.
Both teams are targeting their first berth in the EHF EURO, after Belgium made their debut at the World Championship in January. Belgium put their country on the global handball map at the World Championship, taking a memorable win and progressing to the main round.
Interestingly, Belgium have a poor home record, with losses in the last 10 home matches in the EHF EURO Qualifiers. The most recent home victory was in June 2013 against Ireland. Simultaneously, Greece have a poor away record, with only one win in the last 14 away matches in the qualifiers.
21:20
11 minutes on the clock in Faroe Islands and it's a close one, at 23:21 for the home side as Romania chase. If Faroe Islands take the victory, it will be only their second ever in this stage of the qualifiers. Their first came in the EHF EURO 2022 Qualifiers, in what was their second participation in phase 2.
A win for the home side here will also throw group 4 wide open, as all four teams would then hold points in their account — a situation that exists in no other qualifiers group so far.
21:07 RESULT: NETHERLANDS VS CROATIA 32:27
The Netherlands record their first win ever against Croatia and with that take their points tally to four on the group 5 table, joining their visitors as the leaders.

Of course, this victory was for Cemal Kütahya, our captain, who died in the terrible earthquake. All our minds were with him. It was difficult for us to play today, but we started well, then we had many problems after the break. Luxembourg could have won the match, but finally we are happy that we were victories. Now we have two points and we want to get two more on Sunday in the re-match to secure the third position.Samet KanberogluTürkiye wing
21:06
Below, enjoy Türkiye's big moment, as they scored in the final seconds to secure their first points of the qualifiers.

20:58 HALF-TIME UPDATE: CZECH REPUBLIC VS ICELAND 12:10
More great action between the posts — it's a close game and a close goalkeeper battle in Czech Republic, with Tomas Mrkva and Björgvin Pall Gustavsson both tallying seven saves in the first 30 minutes. Czech Republic have the lead by two but there's still everything to play for in the second half.
20:54 HALF-TIME UPDATE: KOSOVO VS BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA 10:14
Seven saves at a 43 per cent rate from Admir Ahmetasevic are key for Bosnia and Herzegovina as they take the lead against Kosovo and hold a confident advantage at the break.
20:52 HALF-TIME UPDATE: BELGIUM VS GREECE 10:13
Greece profit from their stronger start and go to the half-time break with a three-goal gap in their favour, despite Belgium fighting back to level more than once in the opening period.
20:47 RESULT: SWEDEN VS SPAIN 33:29
Sweden keep their perfect record in the EHF EURO Cup as they hand Spain their second loss in the competition.
20:42 HALF-TIME UPDATE: FAROE ISLANDS VS ROMANIA 15:9
Faroe Islands are looking in great shape to take their first points of the EHF EURO 2024 Qualifiers, as they hold a commanding advantage over Romania at the break.
20:37 RESULT: LUXEMBOURG VS TÜRKIYE 29:30
An epic victory for Türkiye, as Omur Pehlivan nets with two seconds on the clock after a superb attacking setup to open a clear gap in the middle of the court. The visitors thereby put their first points on the group 1 table, while Luxembourg remain on zero points.
20:32
Five minutes into the second half in Eindhoven and the situation has changed completely, with the Netherlands outscoring Croatia 5:1 in this half to open a 20:14 lead. Not the dream debut for new coach Goran Perkovac so far, but it's far from over yet.
Meanwhile in Luxembourg, we are down to the final 30 seconds and the score is level at 29:29...will the points here be split or will one team celebrate their first win? Türkiye have possession and therefore the game in their hands.

20:20
Luxembourg have staged a great comeback on the home court, and now find themselves just one goal behind Türkiye, 23:24, as the last 10 minutes begin.
Meanwhile, in the early stages in the Faroe Islands, Belgium, Czech Republic and Kosovo, it's a mixed bag. Faroe Islands have a narrow advantage over Romania at 8:7 in the 17th minute, having led from the fifth minute on. In Belgium, the home team are behind 1:4 at the 10-minute mark, with Greece enjoying a much stronger start.
Six minutes in in Czech Republic, Iceland have the edge at 2:1. Kosovo are also behind their visitors, with Bosnia and Herzegovina in front 4:2.
20:15 HALF-TIME UPDATE: NETHERLANDS VS CROATIA 15:13
68 per cent vs 65 per cent shooting efficiency, 44 per cent vs 43 per cent attacking efficiency, and six saves per side — the almost equal key stats reflect the tight score board, which sees the home side in front by two at the break.

A tight clash is unfolding in Eindhoven, where Netherlands and Croatia are level at 13:13 in the last minutes of the first half.
Croatia have one of the best records in the EHF EURO Qualifiers, with an 82.7 per cent win rate overall — 48 victories in 58 matches. Croatia are the group 5 leaders at this stage, with four points, while the Netherlands have two thanks to a victory over Belgium.
19:55
Up to the Faroe Islands now, where the home side are taking on Romania. Faroe Islands have yet to gain any points in the qualifiers, and enter the game at the bottom of group 4. Romania are second in the group on two points ahead of this clash.
Watch it live on EHFTV.

19:44 HALF-TIME UPDATE: LUXEMBOURG VS TÜRKIYE 10:14
Türkiye go to the break with a four-goal lead after staying steadily in front through the first half, with their clearest advantage at five goals.
19:31 RESULT: POLAND VS FRANCE 28:38
France leave no doubt, taking a big win and a two-point souvenir home from Poland. It is Poland's first loss of the qualifiers, leaving the home side on four points while France move up to the maximum six.
19:26
Lucky for the four-screen feature on EHFTV.com, because we're about to be treated to another 60 minutes of promising action, with Netherlands hosting Croatia at 19:30 CET.
It will be the debut for new coach Goran Perkovac, who replaced Hrvoje Horvat on Croatia's bench following a ninth-place finish for the side at the World Championship.
Croatia have never lost to Netherlands, with two wins and one draw in the mutual record.

10 minutes played in Luxembourg and Türkiye have control at 5:1, mainly thanks to three saves from goalkeeper Taner Günay. Taner sits on a whopping rate of 75 per cent at this point in the game, and has clearly opened the door for his team to create an advantage at the other end of the court.
Over in Poland, the home side have reduced the distance a little, but only a little — it's 34:26 to France with seven minutes to go. It seems the current Olympic champions have the two points all but locked up. Wing Dylan Nahi has reached an enormous 10-goal tally, while right back Dika Mem now counts six in his account.
In the EHF EURO Cup clash in Sweden, it's a low-scorer so far, with right back Imanol Garciandia levelling at 2:2 just before the eight-minute mark. He has scored both Spain's goals, and his direct counterpart on Sweden's left back, Eric Johansson, has netted both the Scandinavian side's goals as well.
19:07
It's time for the first of the EHF EURO Cup games this round, with Sweden vs Spain throwing off in three minutes. Catch it live on EHFTV.
This is a rematch of some big games still fairly fresh in memory, including the final of the EHF EURO 2022 and more recently the bronze-medal game at the January World Championship. Sweden won the EURO final, while Spain took the bronze medal on Sweden's turf in Stockholm, 39:36.
Overall, the teams have met 29 times before, with Spain winning 14 games and Sweden 15.
So far in the EHF EURO Cup, Sweden have won both games — against Denmark and Germany — and Spain have won one, versus Germany.
19:02
It is a sombre moment for Türkiye, who are playing their first official match since the devastating earthquake in early February. The team lost their captain Cemal Kütahya in the earthquake, along with Kütahya's family.
Alongside his role as captain of the indoor team, Kütahya was captain of the beach handball national team and the top scorer at the 2019 and 2021 Beach EUROs. He reached over 150 caps for Türkiye overall.
18:55
We are back for the second half of Poland vs France, with France remaining clearly in charge four minutes into the period, at 24:14. It's crunchtime for Poland now — if they are to dig themselves out of this deep hole, it's time to start, so the next minutes are crucial as the home side target a comeback.
And it's almost time for the third match of the day to begin: Luxembourg vs Türkiye, at 19:00 CET. Watch it on EHFTV.
18:38 HALF-TIME UPDATE: POLAND VS FRANCE 11:22
France look very much on track to clinch their third win of the qualifiers, with a lead of more than 10 goals at the break. Can Poland turn this around?
18:30
It's not looking good for Poland as we near the end of the first half — with six minutes to go before the break, the home side trail 10:17.
France wing Dylan Nahi and back Dika Mem are the leading scorers of the game, with four goals apiece — and Mem at a rate of 100% accuracy.
France have a far higher shooting percentage in general, with a rate of 76 per cent to Poland's 52 per cent. At this point, Poland have missed 10 shots.

Early stages in Gdansk and France have pulled away, with Dylan Nahi taking the score to 4:1 on a fast break just before the four-minute mark.
As Poland work to get their engines running, let's take a look at what's coming up next: Luxembourg vs Türkiye.
Both teams are on the hunt for their first win of the qualifiers — and Luxembourg are hoping for their first victory in the EHF EURO Qualifiers since 2002.
The historical record favours Türkiye, as they have won five of the six previous matches against Luxembourg, including the last four games.
17:48
It's time to tune in on EHFTV for Poland vs France!
And once we're up and running with that match, it's non-stop action coming your way for the rest of the night.
Qualifiers:
- 19:00 CET Luxembourg vs Türkiye
- 19:30 CET Netherlands vs Croatia
- 20:00 CET Faroe Islands vs Romania
- 20:10 CET Belgium vs Greece
- 20:15 CET Kosovo vs Bosnia and Herzegovina
- 20:15 CET Czech Republic vs Iceland
EHF EURO Cup:
- 19:10 CET Sweden vs Spain
17:28
One match down but the action for today is very much only just started — seven games are still coming up, with the next at 18:00 CET: Poland vs France.
Both teams enter the game with two wins from two games so far, which means some first points are set to be dropped in this clash. France are on top of group 8, just ahead of Poland, due to goal difference.
The teams met very recently, for the opening game of the Men's World Championship in January, with France taking a 26:24 victory. France reached the final for the eighth time overall, taking the silver medal after losing the trophy game to Denmark, while Poland ranked 15th.
In the overall mutual history between the two, France have won eight times in 14 games — notably, six of the last seven matches.
France are missing wing Hugo Descat due to injury, but welcome back Timothey N'Guessan, Aymeric Minne and Karl Konan.

Now it's time for the 32 teams hoping to secure a spot at the next big international tournament to resume the fight for places, in round 3 of qualification. A number have changed coach after the world championship - could that shake up the form books? We'll find out over the next couple of days.
There's lots to look forward to, with eight Qualifiers games both today and tomorrow, plus the EHF EURO Cup featuring EHF EURO 2022 medallists Sweden, Spain and Denmark and 2024 hosts Germany. Here's today's schedule and the all-important round preview.
